New Deadpool & Wolverine TV Spot Teases Spider-Man, Lady Deadpool & More

With the U.S. release date of Deadpool & Wolverine around the corner, Marvel has intensified its promotional campaign for the much-anticipated film. On Tuesday, July 16, a new TV spot featuring Spider-Man, Lady Deadpool, and various others was released, further generating excitement among fans about the film.

Deadpool & Wolverine teaser shows Lady Deadpool and Deadpool Corps footage

The one-minute teaser footage shows Lady Deadpool and what appears to be other members of the Deadpool Corps., a team comprising different versions of the Merc with a Mouth from various universes. In the clip, we see the legs of several Deadpools as they walk side by side. Deadpool & Wolverine will mark the cinematic debut of the comic-book team.

Dogpool, one of the members of the corps., was already confirmed to appear in the movie. Peggy, known as the “Britain’s Ugliest Dog,” is set to portray him on the big screen. The recent clip hints that Lady Deadpool will appear in the film alongside another fan-favorite member of the corps, The Deadpool Kid. He is a cowboy variant of Deadpool from Earth-1108. Fans react to Spider-Man easter egg in Deadpool & Wolverine TV spot

While in a car with Logan, Deadpool makes a hand gesture that seemingly mimics Spider-Man. This has left fans speculating about which iteration of the Friendly Neighborhood Superhero is being referenced in the film.

Reacting to this reference, an X (formerly Twitter) user, @HeroVibesYT, wrote, “Why haven’t I seen anyone talking about Deadpool doing the little Spider-Man hand web thing?”

Another fan @blurayangel wondered whether Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man is teased in the TV spot, stating, “Deadpool knows about SPIDER-MAN. Will it be Tobey’s?”

Meanwhile, @ItsSchmittyyy posited the idea that Deadpool and Wolverine are talking about different characters in that particular scene.

“100% they are talking about different Marvel characters here. Deadpool doing the Spider-Man hand pose won’t mean anything more than them mentioning how there are three of them,” the post read.

Deadpool & Wolverine will release in the U.S. theaters on July 26, 2024.
