Zack Snyder’s Justice League Theatrical Release Teased by Director

Zack Snyder’s Justice League could be getting a theatrical run, the director recently teased.

In a recent post on the social media platform Vero, Snyder shared an image of Ben Affleck’s Batman, along with a caption that read “Want to see ZSJL on the big screen….stay tuned for a date”.

While the post quickly had fans excited, Warner Bros. Discovery has yet to announce any official screenings or news that the movie would be getting a theatrical release as of the time of this writing.

Originally released in 2021, Zack Snyder’s Justice League serves as a director’s cut to the 2017 film Justice League. Snyder was originally directing the 2017 film before departing the project following the death of his daughter, and the 2021 release is intended to match Snyder’s original vision for the film.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League had brief IMAX run

Often referred to as the “Snyder Cut,” the film has actually had a brief theatrical run before, with a black and white version of the film known as the “Justice Is Gray Edition” getting a small IMAX run in select cities.

Beginning in 2013 and running through 2021, Snyder was also at the helm of Warner Bros. Discovery and DC’s DC Extended Universe. Snyder directed 2013’s Man of Steel and was also a co-writer on 2017’s Wonder Woman. Following the director’s cut of Justice League, Snyder moved on from the world of DC, and has since begun making his own sci-fi universe, Rebel Moon, which has seen two movies release for Netflix.
