Focus Features has officially announced the Last Breath release date for its forthcoming diving thriller, starring Woody Harrelson and Simu Liu.
“Last Breath follows a seasoned deep-sea diver as he battles the raging elements to rescue his crewmate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface,” reads the synopsis. “This heart-pounding film is a story of teamwork and resilience that takes audiences on an electrifying race against time.”
When is the Last Breath release date?
Last Breath has been scheduled to make its debut in theaters on February 28, 2025. The film will also be arriving in the same month as high-profiles movies like Captain America: Brave New World, The Monkey, and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
The film is directed by Alex Parkinson from a screenplay he co-wrote with Mitchell LaFortune and David Brooks, based on an inspiring true story by diver Chris Lemons. Prior to the upcoming movie, Parkinson first adapted Lemons’ story in a 2019 documentary movie. The film also stars Finn Cole (Peaky Blinders), Christian Scicluna (The Madame Blanc Mysteries), Riz Khan (This England), Nick Biadon (Tell No Lies), Daithí O’Donnell (Ros na Rún) and Connor Reed. It is produced by produced by David Brooks P.G.A., Paul Brooks P.G.A., Hal Sadoff, Norman Golightly, Jeremy Plager, Stewart le Maréchal, Al Morrow, and Anna Mohr-Pietsch.
