Nobody 2: Bob Odenkirk Action Sequel Finds New Director

Nobody 2 is officially in the works, with Bob Odenkirk set to return and the film officially finding its new director.

According to a report from Variety, Odenkirk will officially return for the sequel to the 2021 action thriller, which will now be directed by Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes For Us, May the Devil Take You). Previously, the first film was directed by Ilya Naishuller.

What do we know about Nobody 2?

Currently, no information has been made available for the sequel, which Variety reports is set to release on August 15, 2025. The sequel will be written by Derek Kolstad, who also wrote the original project. Producers on the film include Marc Provissiero, Braden Aftergood, David Leitch, and Kelly McCormick.

Released in United States theaters in March 2021, Nobody saw Better Call Saul’s Odenkirk play a former assassin named Hutch Mansell. Nielsen played his wife, Becca, while the film also starred Christopher Lloyd, RZA, Aleksei Serebryakov, and Michael Ironside.

The film — which was produced by Odenkirk, David Leitch, Braden Aftergood, and Marc Provissiero along with McCormick — made approximately $57.5 million at the worldwide box office off of a budget of $16 million. It mostly received positive reviews from critics.

Nobody is currently streaming for free (with ads) on Amazon Freevee.
