A live-action Miles Morales movie could be in the works, as a recent report suggests Sony Pictures has begun looking into casting for the role.
During the latest episode of The Hot Mic podcast, film insider Jeff Sneider revealed that he heard that Sony was looking into casting for a live-action Morales. His co-host, YouTuber John Rocha, asked what the project might be fore, but Sneider said he had no further information at the time.

Rumors of a Miles Morales-led live-action film have been bubbling for years now, with many fans hoping that either Sony or Marvel Studios would begin making headway on a project. Last year, Spider-Man producers Amy Pascal and Avi Arad opened up about the potential for a project at Sony, with Pascal saying that fans would “see all of it” in regard to a question about a Spider-Woman and Miles movie.

First created in 2011 by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, Morales was introduced into the Ultimate Marvel Universe in Marvel Comics, but eventually made his way into the main Marvel Universe.
Since his creation in 2011, Morales’ Spider-Man has become one of the most popular iterations of the character. Not only has he appeared in various video games (including Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man franchise), but the character is also the lead in the critically acclaimed “Spider-Verse” series of animated films.
The most recent Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson.
