Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Digital, 4K, & Blu-ray Release Dates Set

20th Century Studios has announced the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes digital, 4K, & Blu-ray release dates for its latest epic sci-fi drama, which serves as the newest installment to the Planet of the Apes reboot franchise. During its theatrical run, the film earned a gross of over $376 million at the global box office, and is currently holding a Certified Fresh rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes.

“Set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, apes are living harmoniously as the dominant species — and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows,” reads the synopsis. “As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.”

What are the release dates for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes digital, 4K, & Blu-ray?

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will be available to ren or buy on digital starting on Tuesday, July 9. The film will then be available for purchase on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on August 27. The 4K UHD editions will include bonus features which are listed below:

The film was directed by Wes Ball from a screenplay written by Josh Friedman. It stars Owen Teague as Noa, Freya Allen as Nova, Kevin Durand as Proximus Caesar, Peter Macon as Raka, and William H.
