Speak No Evil Poster Previews Intense James McAvoy Horror Movie

Blumhouse has shared a brand new Speak No Evil poster for its newest horror thriller remake of the hit Danish movie of the same name, starring Split’s James McAvoy. The film is currently slated to arrive in theaters on September 13.

What is Speak No Evil about?

“When an American family is invited to spend the weekend at the idyllic country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation, what begins as a dream holiday soon warps into a snarled psychological nightmare,” reads the synopsis. “From Blumhouse, the producer of The Black Phone, Get Out and The Invisible Man, comes an intense suspense thriller for our modern age, starring BAFTA award-winner James McAvoy in a riveting performance as the charismatic, alpha-male estate owner whose untrammeled hospitality masks an unspeakable darkness.”

Speak No Evil is written and directed by James Watkins (The Woman in Black), based on scribes Christian Tafdrup and Mads Tafdrup’s 2022 Danish horror movie Gæsterne. Joining McAvoy are Mackenzie Davis (Terminator: Dark Fate, Halt and Catch Fire), Scoot McNairy (Argo, A Quiet Place Part II), Alix West Lefler (The Good Nurse, Riverdale), Aisling Franciosi (Game of Thrones, The Fall), and newcomer Dan Hough. It is produced by Jason Blum and Paul Ritchie, with Beatriz Sequeira, Jacob Jarek, and Christian Tafdrup.
