Lionsgate has released a Latency clip for its upcoming sci-fi thriller about the perils of mind-reading gaming equipment.
The Latency clip seemingly takes place early in the story as a pro gamer calibrates to the high-tech hardware.
Latency Clip welcomes us to Omnia
There’s also a nifty poster to go along with the clip.
Latency is the feature debut of writer and director James Croke. It tells the story of Hana (Sasha Luss), an agoraphobic pro-gamer who gets ambitious new gaming hardware. The AI-powered equipment is capable of reading minds.
Hana sees an opportunity to enhance her game. However, as Hana and her best friend Jen (Alexis Ren) experiment with this new technology, the line between reality and Hana’s subconscious quickly begins to blur, and she starts to wonder if the device is helping her or serving a more sinister force.
Latency is in theaters on June 14, 2024.
