Ryan Reynolds Hints Deadpool & Wolverine Won’t Have an End-Credits Scene

In a secret video, Ryan Reynolds has suggested that Deadpool & Wolverine may not have an end-credits scene. With Deadpool & Wolverine’s tickets on sale, its marketing campaign has picked up steam. As a part of it, Reynolds has delivered a message to reveal what fans could expect.

While post-credits scenes are a staple for most MCU projects, Deadpool & Wolverine may not have even one, let alone two. Marvel’s announcement video of Deadpool & Wolverine’s advanced ticket sales featured a QR code that led to a separate Ryan Reynolds disclaimer video.

In it, Reynolds shared: “We’re very excited to be joining you July 26. Many of you are very excited. But we should set the table correctly. This film is as paper-thin as a sequel to Battlefield Earth.”

“We’re mostly going to beat each other senseless, make enemies with Disney, tell a few d-ck jokes, make a few jokes at my expense, make a lot of jokes at Hugh’s expense, and completely sidestep Marvel’s mandated after-credits sequence, which if you haven’t figured it out yet, is always just a commercial for another movie which will invariably end with a commercial for another movie.”

Deadpool & Wolverine trailer suggests there won’t be a post-credit scene

Reynolds’ message about skipping the end credits scene in Deadpool & Wolverine could confuse many. Previously, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld teased a “mind-blowing” post-credits sequence for the film.

So, either Marvel could have removed the additional scene from the end, or Reynolds could be poking fun at the fans to build up a surprise for the film’s eventual release.

Deadpool & Wolverine arrives on July 26, 2024 and stars Hugh Jackman in the lead alongside Reynolds. It also features Matthew Macfadyen’s TVA Agent, Paradox, and Emma Corrin’s Cassandra Nova. Other cast members in the film include Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Stefan Kapicic, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Rob Delaney, and Shioli Kutsuna.
