Universal Pictures has announced The Fall Guy digital release date for its latest action comedy, starring Oscar nominees Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. This comes after less than a month since the film had made its theatrical debut. Despite receiving positive reviews, it wasn’t able to meet box office expectations, with a current worldwide gross of over $127 million at the box office against a reported budget of around $120-150 million.

The Fall Guy will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting tomorrow, May 21 from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The home video release will also include an exclusive extended cut with over 20 minutes worth of never-before-seen footage.
“He’s a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment,” the film’s synopsis reads. “And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. What could possibly go right?”
The Fall Guy was directed and produced by David Leitch from screenplay written by Drew Pearce, loosely based on the 1980s television series of the same name. The film also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham, and Stephanie Hsu. It was produced by Gosling, Kelly McCormick and Guymon Casady. Executive producers were Pearce, Geoff Shaevitz, and Glen A. Larson.
