Blackwater Lane Trailer Previews Supernatural Thriller Starring Minka Kelly and Dermot Mulroney

Lionsgate has unveiled the trailer for Blackwater Lane, a new horror thriller from The Hill director Jeff Celentano. Set to hit select theaters on June 21, the upcoming movie stars Minka Kelly (The Roommate) as a woman haunted by a ghostly presence.

Blackwater Lane is based on the New York Times bestselling novel by B.A. Paris, titled The Breakdown. In the trailer, a woman named Cass begins to question her own sanity after a supernatural presence terrorizes her shortly after witnessing a horrific tragedy. “Your imagination’s a little bit out there sometimes,” her husband told her. Convinced that someone is threatening her life, her husband — however — worries that her medications are causing her to interpret reality differently.

The official synopsis for Blackwater Lane reads as follows: “After witnessing a tragedy on a dangerous country road, Cass is visited by a ghostly presence and begins to question her sanity. As these otherworldly experiences intensify, Cass is driven closer to the brink until she begins to assemble the pieces of a horrific plot against her.”
