Natasha Lyonne is joining the cast of Marvel’s The Fantastic Four.
Per Deadline, Lyonne has been cast in an undisclosed role in Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four, which releases in United States theaters in 2025.
Lyonne is best known for co-creating and starring in Netflix’s hit series Russian Doll, which premiered in 2019 and has so far run for two seasons. She’s also starred in movies such as 1993’s Dennis the Menace, 1999’s But I’m a Cheerleader, 2001’s Scary Movie 2, 2004’s Blade Trinity, 2015’s Sleeping with Other People, 2019’s Ad Astra, and 2021’s The United States vs. Billie Holiday, among other films.
Additionally, Lyonne played Jessica in the American Pie franchise and also stars as Charlie Cale in Rian Johnson and Peacock’s Poker Face series.
Lyonne will soon be seen in His Three Daughters alongside Carrie Coon and Elizabeth Olsen, which will begin streaming on Netflix this November. She’s also attached to appear in Taika Waititi’s next movie, Klara and the Sun.
Who else is starring in The Fantastic Four?
The Last of Us’ Pedro Pascal is playing Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in The Fantastic Four, which is being directed by Matt Shakman. The cast of the movie also includes Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/the Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/the Thing, Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson as Galactus.
Additionally, John Malkovich and Paul Walter Hauser have both been cast in undisclosed roles in the film.
Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, Eric Pearson, and Ian Springer wrote the script for The Fantastic Four, which is expected to begin filming this summer.
The Fantastic Four is scheduled to hit United States theaters on July 25, 2025, as part of Phase Six of the MCU.
