A Nightmare on Elm Street 4K UHD Ultimate Collector’s Edition Announced

Warner Bros. has announced a 40th anniversary A Nightmare on Elm Street 4K UHD collector’s edition with SteelBook for Wes Craven’s classic horror.

in A Nightmare on Elm Street, Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) is having grisly nightmares. Meanwhile, her high-school friends, who are having the very same dreams, are being slaughtered in their sleep by the hideous fiend of their shared nightmares. When the police ignore her explanation, she herself must confront the killer in his shadowy realm.

The iconic Freddy Kreuger made his screen debut in modern horror master Wes Craven’s film on November 9, 1984, and spawned multiple sequels in a ten-year period, culminating in the meta triumph A New Nightmare.

Freddy wouldn’t reappear on the big screen until 2003’s Freddy vs. Jason. There would then be a highly unsuccessful attempt to reboot the series in 2010, with Jackie Earl Haley taking over from Robert Englund as Kreuger.
