Something in the Water is a new horror movie that comes from Samuel Goldwyn Films. The exclusive clip sees a cast of characters stranded in the middle of shark-infested waters and struggling to find a way back to shore.

What is Something in the Water about?
“An idyllic destination wedding turns into a battle for survival in this emotionally fraught, action thriller,” the synopsis for the film reads. “Something in the Water follows Meg (Hiftu Quasem, Ten Percent), who tentatively attends the wedding of old friend Lizzie (Lauren Lyle, Outlander) in the Caribbean along with fellow pals Cam (Nicole Rieko Setsuko, Eavesdropping) and Ruth (Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart, One Four Three), plus her former partner Kayla (Natalie Mitson, The Larkins) who she parted ways with after both survived a deeply traumatic event.”
Something in the Water is directed by Hayley Easton Street, who served as the art director for 2013’s Thor: The Dark World, 2014’s Edge of Tomorrow, 2015’s Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, 2021’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage, among other titles.
The script for Something in the Water was written by Cat Clarke. Julie Baines, Hiftu Quasem, Lauren Lyle, Natalie Mitson, Nicole Rieko Setsuko, and Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart serve as producers on the film, while executive producers include Anna Marsh, Alex Hamilton, Aliston Meese, Anna Hintzen, and Jonathan Taylor.
Something in the Water is now playing in select United States theaters. The movie is also currently available to watch on digital platforms.
