A new image has been revealed for Alien: Romulus, and it’s terrifying.
First shared by USA Today, the image reveals the titular alien, the Xenomorph. The alien’s trademark teeth are on full display, as the Xenomorph will undoubtedly wreak havoc on a new crew of astronauts.

What to Expect in Alien: Romulus?
The official synopsis reads: “While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”
Alien: Romulus stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu.
Alien: Romulus is directed by Fede Álvarez from a screenplay he co-wrote with his frequent collaborator, Rodo Sayagues. Romulus marks Álvarez’s first feature directorial effort since 2018’s The Girl in the Spider’s Web.
Ridley Scott, the director of Alien, will produce Alien: Romulus alongside Michael Pruss and Walter Hill. Executive producers include Álvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon, Brent O’Connor, and Tom Moran.
Alien: Romulus is the seventh film in the Alien franchise and the first since 2017’s Alien: Covenant. On the Alien timeline, Romulus is set between the events of 1979’s Alien and 1986’s Aliens.
Alien: Romulus was originally scheduled to be released on Hulu. However, 20th Century Studios switched the film to a theatrical release. Alien: Romulus now arrives in theaters on August 16, 2024.
