Charlie Day and Allison Williams to Star in Murder Mystery Movie Kill Me

XYZ Films has revealed Charlie Day and Allison Williams will star in the offbeat murder mystery movie Kill Me by director Peter Warren.

Written and directed by Peter Warren (The Auteur), Kill Me features Day in the role of Jimmy, who wakes up in a bathtub after having tried to kill himself. Or, at least, that’s what it looks like to his friends and family. Jimmy is pretty sure he didn’t do it… Maybe. Together with Margot (Williams), the 911 operator who took his call, Jimmy sets out on a mission to solve a vitally important whodunit: did someone try to kill him, or are they chasing the specter of depression?

Director Peter Warren spoke on the casting of Williams, who also serves as executive producer, saying, “We are thrilled to find in Allison not just an incredible actress to tackle the role of Margot, but a partner who is as passionate as we are about this brave discussion of mental health and suicidality, a subject which has touched all of our lives so deeply.”

The movie will be produced by XYZ Films, Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg for Dark Horse Entertainment, and Charlie Day and Peter Warren. Paul Schwake and Kasey Adler are exec producers for Dark Horse. The film is financed by XYZ Films and is looking to shoot later this year.

Charlie Day is most famous for his role as Charlie Kelly in long-running sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but has had roles in blockbusters such as Pacific Rim and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Allison Williams already has a horror heritage, having starred in Get Out, M3GAN, and The Perfection, but is also known for starring in the Lena Dunham series Girls.
