Boy Kills World: Bill Skarsgård Engages in a Gun Fight in New Clip

He’s out for blood. Roadside Attractions (via Rotten Tomatoes) has shared a new clip from Boy Kills World, previewing the action-packed thriller comedy starring Bill Skarsgård. The film is set to release in theaters on April 26, 2024.

The newly shared clip did not give anything away, but the forthcoming Moritz Mohr-directed feature is already shaping up to be a vengeance-fueled film filled with bloody scenes. In addition to Skarsgård as Boy — who is also set to play Eric Draven in Rupert Sanders’ The Crow — Boy Kills World also stars Jessica Rothe as June 27, Famke Janssen as Hilda van der Koy, Andrew Koji as Basho, Michelle Dockery as Melanie van der Koy, and Brett Gelman as Gideon van der Koy.

The rest of the cast includes Isaiah Mustafa as Benny, Sharlto Copley as Glen van der Koy, Yayan Ruhian as the shaman, Quinn Copeland as Mina, and H. Jon Benjamin as Boy’s inner voice.

What is Boy Kills World about?

Based on a screenplay written by Arend Remmers and Tyler Burton Smith, the forthcoming movie will center on Boy, a deaf-mute man who is determined to get revenge on the people who killed his family and left him voiceless and orphaned.

The synopsis for Boy Kills World reads: “Driven by his inner voice, one which he co-opted from his favorite childhood video game, Boy trains with a mysterious shaman to become an instrument of death and is set loose on the eve of the annual culling of dissidents. Bedlam ensues as Boy commits bloody martial arts mayhem, inciting a wrath of carnage and blood-letting. As he tries to get his bearings in this delirious realm, Boy soon falls in with a desperate resistance group, all the while bickering with the apparent ghost of his rebellious little sister.”

Apart from serving as the film’s director, Mohr also executive produced alongside Sipho Nkosi, Mxolisi Mgojo, Humphrey Mathe, Reza Brojerdi, Christian Mercuri, and Andrew Childs. Producers are Sam Raimi, Zainab Azizi, Roy Lee, Wayne Fitzjohn, Simon Swart, Alex Lebovici, Stuart Manashil, and Dan Kagan.
