The release dates for Aang: The Last Airbender and Transformers One have been delayed.
Per Variety, Paramount has pushed the release date for Aang: The Last Airbender back to 2026. The animated film was originally supposed to open on October 10, 2025; however, it will now be released in United States theaters on January 20, 2026.
Announced at CinemaCon earlier this month, Aang: The Last Airbender is an animated movie that comes from Paramount Pictures. The film will follow the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender and will see Eric Nam voice an older version of Aang. Dave Bautista, meanwhile, is voicing a villain.
The cast of Aang: The Last Airbender also includes Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten, and Roman Zaragoza. Lauren Montgomery is directing the film, while William Mata serves as co-director. Michael DiMartino, Bryan Konietzko, and Eric Coleman serve as executive producers.
Further plot details for Aang: The Last Airbender remain under wraps at this time. The film is expected to be the first of three animated Avatar movies coming from Paramount and Nickelodeon.
Transformers One’s release date gets pushed back a week
Paramount has also pushed the release date for Transformers One back by a week. Originally scheduled for September 13, the animated movie will now hit United States theaters on September 20, 2024.
“Transformers One is the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever,” the official synopsis reads.
The voice cast of Transformers One includes Chris Hemsworth as Orion Pax/Optimus Prime, Brian Tyree Henry as D-16/Megatron, Scarlett Johansson as Elita-1, Keegan-Michael Key as B-127/Bumblebee, Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime, and Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion. Steve Buscemi is also voicing an undisclosed character.
