20th Century Studios has unveiled an action-packed Alien 45th Anniversary trailer ahead of the film’s return to theaters for Alien Day.
Ridley Scott’s game-changing sci-fi horror is getting a limited runout on April 26 to both celebrate 4/26 (aka Alien Day) and the birth of a cinematic icon.
The trailer is short but sweet. It packs in so many classic shots, and a sped-up version of that title reveal. Obviously nothing new here, but it certainly got me excited about the idea of seeing it on the big screen.

There’s also an even shorter video where Ridley Scott announces the news, saying, ”45 years ago, we embarked on a journey to the edges of the unknown with a new kind of fear. I’m proud to announce that the first Alien will return to select theaters to celebrate its 45th anniversary.”
In Alien, a commercial starship crew comes out of cryosleep to a distress call from an unknown grounded vessel. After finding and exploring the crashed ship, one of the crew is infected by a parasitic organism, and it sets off a chain of events that will lead to a showdown with a monstrous foe that stalks the crew’s ship.
