According to Deadline, Peaky Blinders vet Joe Cole has been tapped for the leading role in the upcoming action thriller titled, He Bled Neon.
“After his estranged brother’s mysterious death, Ethan’s (Cole) journey to Las Vegas for the funeral unravels a dark web of crime, forcing him to confront his past as he delves into the city’s gritty underworld to uncover the truth, risking everything he holds dear in the process,” reads the synopsis.
Who’s involved in He Bled Neon?
He Bled Neon will served as the feature directorial debut of music video director Drew Kirsch, who has worked with a number of famous artists including Taylor Swift, John Legend and Shakira. The film is written by Tim Cairo and Jake Gibson, based on an original story by XYZ co-founder Nate Bolotin. Grammy nominee Zhu has also boarded the project to compose the score with Joseph Trapanese. It is a co-production between XYZ Films and Two & Two Pictures.
Besides his memorable performance as John Shelby in the early seasons of Peaky Blinders, Cole is also best known for his roles in films like 2012’s Offender, 2015’s Green Room and 2018’s A Prayer Before Dawn, as well as in the series Gangs of London. He will also next be seen in the crime mystery film The Actor with Andre Holland, and the horror film The Damned with Odessa Young.
