According to Deadline, Oscar winner Julianne Moore has officially signed on for the leading role opposite James McAvoy in the upcoming action thriller titled, Control. Moore is expected to play an unnamed “pivotal” character. The project is expected to begin production sometime this month in Berlin.
“Control revolves around the troubled Dr. Conway (McAvoy), who wakes up one morning to the sound of a mysterious voice in his head. With his reality now in question, the voice makes a series of escalating demands he must follow or devastating consequences will unfold,” reads the synopsis.
Who’s involved in Control?
Control will be directed by Robert Schwentke from a screenplay written by Zack Akers and Andrew Baldwin, based on the award-winning podcast Shipworm by Akers and Skip Bronkie. The latter will served as an executive producer, with Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman producing. It is a production by StudioCanal and The Picture Company.
Besides Control, Moore will also next be seen in two more movies, including Echo Valley with Sydney Sweeny, and Pedro Almodóvar’s The Room Next Door with Tilda Swinton. The May December actress is currently starring in Starz’s newest period drama series Mary & George.
