It’s been six years since S. Craig Zahler‘s last movie, Dragged Across Concrete, but he could be set to make his return to the director’s chair soon.
The Big Stone Grid Details
According to World of Reel‘s sources, Zahler will be helming the horror-flavored crime noir The Big Stone Grid.
Originally, Zahler had written the screenplay for the film, and had Michael Mann attached to it 12 years ago, but that ultimately fell through. More details on the project, including casting, should be revealed soon.
According to World of Reel, The Big Stone Grid is a “crime-noir” with “horror elements,” much like Se7en and Marathon Man. The story sees a pair of decorated detectives uncovering a terrifying extortion ring, filled with sadistic murders, that operates within the secret underbelly of New York City.
Zahler has another screenplay being adapted. Ridley Scott is directing the western Wraiths of a Broken Land this year.
