Migration Peacock Release Date Set for Streaming Debut

Peacock will be adding Illumination’s Migration to its extensive animated catalog on April 19, following the film’s digital and Blu-ray releases earlier this year.

Migration chronicles the adventure of the Mallard family as they set out on a journey to move to a different place. Pam Mallard wants her children to discover what else the world can offer. The anxious Mack Mallard, however, doesn’t want to leave the home they’re all accustomed to.

“After a migrating duck family alights on their pond with thrilling tales of far-flung places, Pam persuades Mack to embark on a family trip via New York City to tropical Jamaica. As the Mallards make their way South for the winter, their well-laid plans quickly go awry. The experience will inspire them to expand their horizons, open themselves up to new friends, and accomplish more than they ever thought possible while teaching them more about each other — and themselves — than they ever imagined,” the synopsis reads.

The animated film, which debuted in theaters on December 6, 2023, has managed to earn over $250 million at the box office, adding to Illumination’s long list of box office-hit animated features. The film also received positive critical reception, with some calling it “a hilarious family adventure.”

As of this writing, Migration boasts a 73% critic score and an impressive 88% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Who’s involved in Migration?

Directed by Benjamin Renner and Guylo Homsy, based on a screenplay by Mike White, Migration features the voices of Kumail Nanjiani as Mack, Elizabeth Banks as Pam, Caspar Jennings as Dax, Tresi Gazal as Gwen, Awkwafina as Chump, Keegan-Michael Key as Delroy, Danny DeVito as Uncle Dan, Carol Kane as Erin, David Mitchell as GooGoo, and Isabela Merced as Kim.
