Michelle Pfeiffer is set to star in the upcoming holiday comedy Oh. What. Fun, which will be written and directed by filmmaker Michael Showalter.
In the movie, Pfeiffer will play the role of Claire Clauster, a woman who organizes a “special Christmas outing when her family forgets her in the shuffle. By the time they realize their mistake, she’s gone missing. Their Christmas is in jeopardy, but Claire has other plans.”
Oh. What. Fun will be available to stream on Prime Video when it releases, although no other casting or release information has been made available as of yet.
Showalter, Pfeiffer coming off of busy projects
Showalter is an Emmy-nominated director who most recently wrote, directed, and produced the Amazon romantic drama The Idea of You, starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine. That film just had its premiere at SXSW 2024, and is set to release on May 2, 2024.
As for Pfeiffer, she most recently reprised her role as the original Wasp in the third installment of the Marvel’s Antman trilogy, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. She also starred as Betty Ford in the Showtime anthology series The First Lady, which aired in 2022.
