The Bear Creator Tapped to Direct The Lincoln Highway

The Bear creator Christopher Storer has been tapped to direct a film adaptation of The Lincoln Highway, Deadline reported Wednesday. Based on Amor Towles’ best-selling novel, The Lincoln Highway will be released by Warner Bros.

Published in 2021, The Lincoln Highway follows 18-year-old Emmett Watson, who, after serving time in a youth facility for involuntary manslaughter, comes home to Nebraska. After their father’s death, Emmett and his little brother Billy head to California to find their mother. However, two of Emmett’s friends escape juvenile detention and show up at his door, shifting their travel plans to New York City.

Heyday Films’ David Heyman, who co-produced Barbie, will produce alongside Storer and Josh Senior of American Light & Fixture. Tyson Bidner will also serve as a producer, while Jeff Clifford and Cooper Wehde will executive produce.

What to Expect in The Bear Season 3?

Storer is currently shooting The Bear Season 3, the critically acclaimed series about a talented chef returning home to Chicago to run his family’s Italian beef sandwich shot. Released in 2022, The Bear has received universal acclaim for its first two seasons.

The Bear Season 1 collected ten Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series. Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach won acting Emmys for their portrayals of Carmy Berzatto, Sydney Adamu, and Richie Jerimovich.

FX announced The Bear Season 3 will arrive on Hulu in June 2024. Additionally, Edebiri will direct one of the episodes in Season 3.
