Emma Stone, Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler, Joaquin Phoenix, and more will all star in Ari Aster’s new movie, Eddington.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Aster’s Eddington will begin filming this week. Phoenix, Pascal, Stone, and Butler are all set to star in the A24 movie alongside Luke Grimes (Yellowstone), Deirdre O’Connell (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), Clifton Collins Jr. (Westworld), and Micheal Ward (The Old Guard),

What do we know about Ari Aster’s Eddington?
Aster wrote the script for Eddington, which “centers on a small-town New Mexico sheriff with lofty aspirations.” Aster is also producing the movie alongside Lars Knudsen.
Further plot details for Eddington are being kept under wraps at this time. A24 is financing and producing the movie.
Aster has worked with A24 on all three of his previous films: 2018’s Hereditary, 2019’s Midsommar, and 2023’s Beau Is Afraid, the latter of which also starred Phoenix.
Stone is coming off her recent Oscar win for playing Bella Baxter in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things, which is now streaming on Hulu. She’s also attached to star in Lanthimos’ new anthology movie, Kinds of Kindness.
Butler, meanwhile, is best known for playing the titular role in Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis, which was released in 2022. He also portrays Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen in Dune: Part Two and will soon be seen in Jeff Nichols’ The Bikeriders, which hits United States theaters on June 21, 2024.
Pascal has previously starred in television shows such as The Mandalorian and The Last of Us. Having recently played a minor role in Ethan Coen’s Drive-Away Dolls, he’s now attached to play Reed Richards in Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four. Additionally, Pascal recently finished filming Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2.
Aster’s Eddington does not yet have an official release date from A24.
