Drive-Away Dolls is now officially available for rent or purchase on digital platforms from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Since its theatrical debut, the film garnered mixed reviews from critics. It currently holds a Tomatometer rating of 65% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 196 reviews.
“This comedy caper follows Jamie, an uninhibited free spirit bemoaning yet another breakup with a girlfriend, and her demure friend Marian who desperately needs to loosen up,” reads the official synopsis. “In search of a fresh start, the two embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals along the way.”
Drive-Away Dolls was directed by Ethan Coen from a screenplay he co-wrote with wife Tricia Cooke. This served as Coen’s solo directorial debut. It stars Margaret Qualley (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) as Jamie, Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers) as Marian, and Beanie Feldstein (Booksmart) as Sukie, with Colman Domingo (If Beale Street Could Talk), Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us), Bill Camp (The Queen’s Gambit), and Matt Damon (Ocean’s Eleven films).
