20th Century Studios has revealed a new The First Omen trailer and poster for the prequel to the classic horror movie The Omen.
After a trailer for the movie arrived back at the start of the year, this new trailer comes with some fresh footage of the demonic shenanigans and a lot of screaming.
The First Omen Trailer Puts the Devil in the Details
Accompanying this new trailer is another new poster that evokes the iconic original 1976 movie that was directed by Superman’s Richard Donner. The film starred Gregory Peck, Lee Remick, David Warner, Harvey Spencer Stephens, and Billie Whitelaw. The film won an Academy Award for Best Original Score, while it was also nominated for Best Original Song.
When a young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, she encounters a darkness that causes her to question her own faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate. The First Omen stars Nell Tiger Free (Servant), Tawfeek Barhom (Mary Magdalene), Sonia Braga (Kiss of the Spider Woman), Ralph Ineson (The Witch), with Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), and Bill Nighy (Living).
The film is directed by Arkasha Stevenson and based on characters created by David Seltzer (The Omen), with a story by Ben Jacoby (Bleed) and a screenplay by Tim Smith & Arkasha Stevenson and Keith Thomas (Firestarter). The producers are David S. Goyer (Hellraiser) and Keith Levine (The Night House), and the executive producers are Tim Smith, Whitney Brown (Rosaline), and Gracie Wheelan.
