Vinnie Jones, who played Juggernaut in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, turned down a cameo in the upcoming Marvel Studios sequel Deadpool & Wolverine.
While speaking with Yahoo UK, Jones discussed his experience working on the X-Men movie and revealed that he was asked to be in the new Deadpool movie. Unfortunately, however, he and the studio couldn’t work out an arrangement for him to don the Juggernaut suit again.
“Funny enough, I just got asked to do Deadpool — the new one that’s coming out now — and I spoke to the director and I just said it’s such a drama putting that suit on, you know? Mentally and physically,” Jones explained. “I mean, it had its mental toll, as well, because you’re in it and you can’t do anything all day [and] you can only drink through a straw. So we couldn’t strike the deal for Deadpool, but, I mean, Deadpool‘s my favorite f—ing movie of all time, more or less. I really wanted to do it, but they didn’t have the budget to put me in the suit.”
