Freaky Friday 2 may officially be in the works, according to Lindsay Lohan.
Speaking during a recent appearance on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM Show, the star of the 2003 film was asked about a potential Freaky Friday sequel being in the works. Lohan let it slip that there actually was a sequel in the works, before revealing that a timeline for the movie isn’t ready just yet.
“It is,” Lohan said. “I won’t say that yet . . . I don’t want to say too much.” Lohan continued by confirming the news, adding, “We’re both excited! I’m gonna speak for Jamie.”
The news comes after both Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, who also starred in the film, spoke openly about wanting to reunite for a sequel last year.
Freaky Friday was a smash hit when it released in 2003

Directed by Mark Waters from a screenplay written by Heather Hach and Leslie Down. It centered around the bond between a mother and her rebellious daughter. After arguing again, they suddenly find themselves in an unbelievable situation as they switched bodies.
The 2003 film starred Curtis, Lohan, Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, Stephen Tobolowsky, Rosalind Chao, and more. It is based on Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel of the same name. This version marked Disney’s third adaptation of the classic story.
