A new clip for the upcoming psychological horror Immaculate has been released (via IGN), showing Sydney Sweeney getting her faith tested in a sinister remote convent.
In the newly released clip, Cecilia — a nun of devout faith — can be seen speaking to a priest in a confessional booth, solemnly swearing that she wants nothing else but to serve Christ in a secluded Italian convent. Things soon took a horrifying turn when the priest appeared to be unresponsive.

What is Immaculate about?
First announced back in November 2023, Immaculate — set in a visually appealing Italian countryside — follows American nun Cecilia, who will soon discover her new home is nothing as it seems.
According to the film’s synopsis, the film will see Cecilia “embarking on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside. Cecilia’s warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbors a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.”
Apart from starring in the film, the Anyone But You actress also produced the project alongside Middle Child Pictures’ David Bernad, Fifty-Fifty Films’ Jonathan Davino, and Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler.
Sweeney’s career catapulted to greater heights after starring in a number of acclaimed television shows including Euphoria, The White Lotus, and The Handmaid’s Tale. Her other acting credits include The Ward, Nocturne, and Night Teeth. She also starred in the 2021 thriller The Voyeurs, which was directed by Immaculate filmmaker Michael Mohan.
Joining Sweeney in the cast are Álvaro Morte (Money Heist), Simona Tabasco (The White Lotus), Benedetta Porcaroli (Baby), and Dora Romano (The Hand of God).
Black Bear’s John Friedberg, Christopher Casanova, and Will Greenfield serve as the film’s executive producers. It is distributed by Neon.
Immaculate will make its theatrical debut on March 22.
