Speaking at the SAG Awards red carpet, Oppenheimer and The Faculty star Josh Hartnett spoke about working on M. Night Shyamalan’s latest movie, Trap.
Josh Hartnett Happy to be Caught in Shyamalan’s Trap
Hartnett feels the role is a pivot from what fans might expect, because he believes the audience would ”get bored” with him if he stuck to one lane. The time he’s spent on Trap has been so good that he was full of praise for his time on set with M. Night Shyamalan
”Working with M.Night was one of the best experiences of my career. I think he’s a true Artist, in the capital A sense of the word.”
There are few details on Trap’s plot, but we do know it will reportedly be a “psychological thriller set at a concert,” according to Film Updates. Also known is that Shyamalan’s daughter Saleka will play a pop artist in the movie, while Hartnett will play a father attending the concert with his child.
Hartnett did go on to say he’s very excited for people to see the movie they’ve made, and cites it as being ”Very bizarre, and it’s wild”
Trap began filming before last year’s SAG-AFTRA strike, and is set to be released on August 2, 2024. Shyamalan has another film in production, too, with the mysterious Good Grades.
