What is The Crow?
“Young musician Eric Draven is brutally murdered alongside his fiancée by members of a violent gang. On the anniversary of their death, Eric rises from the grave and assumes the gothic mantle of the Crow, a supernatural avenger. He then sets out on a macabre mission to mercilessly hunt down everyone responsible and make them answer for their crimes,” reads the film’s synopsis.
Based on James O’Barr’s 1989 dark fantasy comic book series, The Crow was directed by Alex Proyas from a screenplay written by David J. Schow and John Shirley. The cult classic starred the late Brandon Lee, Rochelle Davis, Ernie Hudson, Michael Wincott, Bai Ling, Anna Levine, and more. Later this year, Lionsgate will be releasing a The Crow reboot starring Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs.
