Ballistic: Lena Headey & Amybeth McNulty to Lead Action Thriller

According to Deadline, Emmy nominee Lena Headey and Anne with an E alum Amybeth McNulty have been tapped to star in the upcoming action thriller titled Ballistic.

“This is a compelling script about the impact on everyday families of our military industrial complex and Americas’ near constant state of war, from Chad Faust and with Lena Headey as our lead,” executive producer Roman Kopevich said in a statement. “The film is a perfect fit for international audiences around the globe.”

The Game of Thrones vet is set to portray the role of a grieving mother who seeks revenge for the death of her son. Headey is no stranger to the action genre as she previously starred in movies such as 2007’s The Contractor, 2012’s Dredd, 2021’s Gunpowder Milkshake, and 2022’s 9 Bullets. As for McNulty, she’s currently in production for Stranger Things Season 5, where she’ll be reprising her role as Robin’s love interest Vickie.

Who’s involved in Ballistic?

Ballistic will be written and directed by Chad Faust. The film is executive produced by Kopelevich, Crystal Hill, David Tish, Lee Nelson, and BondIt Media Capital, with Thomas Michael producing. Pre-production on the project is still underway.

“The story follows a mother (Headey) who works for an ammunition manufacturing company but is devastated when her son serving in Afghanistan is killed,” reads the synopsis. “Despair gives way to rage and a desire for revenge when she discovers it was a bullet from her factory that was responsible for her son’s death.”
