Who was involved in the Child’s Play remake?
The Child’s Play remake was directed by Lars Klevberg from a screenplay written by Tyler Burton Smith. The film starred Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, Brian Tyree Henry, Tim Matheson, Dave Lewis and Star Wars vet Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky. This served as the only installment in the long-running horror franchise that the killer doll wasn’t voiced by Brad Dourif. It was produced by It and It: Chapter Two producers David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith.
“In the film, realizing that her son Andy is lonely, Karen buys him a seemingly innocent, AI-enhanced doll named Chucky,” reads the synopsis. “But Chucky’s safety restrictions have been disabled, and soon, a gruesome series of events unfolds. Unable to convince his mom that the doll is responsible for the carnage, Andy becomes the target of the bloodthirsty Chucky!”
