Charlie Hunham may have revealed that a Triple Frontier sequel is in the works, with the actor confirming he’s signed on to produce a new movie.
In a recent interview with The Mary Sue, Hunham briefly spoke about 2019 action-adventure film. Hunham said that he couldn’t say much, but revealed that he had signed on to produce a sequel, which he described as being in its “infancy” as of now.
“Nothing guaranteed, but I just set up recently as the main producer on a potential sequel to Triple Frontier at Netflix,” said Hunham. “So we’re working on that. It’s in its absolute infancy, but I feel like I’ve got a lot more to say about the sort of after life of military personnel. I’m really hopeful.”
What is Triple Frontier?
Originally released in 2019, Triple Frontier starred Hunham alongside Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Garrett Hedlund, and Pedro Pascal as a group of former U.S. Army Delta Force operators who come together and plan a heist of a South American crime lord.
While no box office information was made available, the film is considered a success, with Netflix announcing that the movie had been viewed over 52 million times within the first month of its release.
