Apple TV+ has announced that Mad Men alum Jon Hamm has signed on for the leading role in a brand new drama titled Your Friends and Neighbors. The project revolves around former hedge fund manager who ends up stealing from the rich in an attempt to keep his family’s lifestyle.
This comes after Hamm most recently joined the cast of The Morning Show Season 3, which had just concluded its 10-episode run. The upcoming Apple TV+ also marks the Golden Globe winner’s first major leading project in a long while, following supporting appearances in Prime Video’s Good Omens and Fargo Season 5.
What to expect in Your Friends and Neighbors?
“In “Your Friends and Neighbors,” Hamm stars as Coop, a recently divorced hedge fund manager who, after being fired, resorts to stealing from the wealthy residents in his tony upstate New York suburb in order to keep his family’s lifestyle afloat,” reads the logline. “These petty crimes begin to reinvigorate him until he breaks into the wrong house at the wrong time.”
The series hails from creator Jonathan Tropper, who will also be set as the showrunner. This serves as Tropper’s latest collaboration with Apple TV+ after previously working together on the Jason Momoa-led action epic See. It is executive produced by Hamm, Tropper, and Connie Tavel.
