A new Deadpool 3 photo has been revealed, giving fans a look at Ryan Reynolds as he reprises the role of Wade Wilson alongside his new canine companion Dogpool in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.
The Dogpool Instagram account posted the new image, which shows Dogpool licking Wilson’s scarred face while the titular character stares on with an unimpressed look. The post features the caption, “Looks like avocado. Tastes like dog shit,” which is in reference to a joke from the original Deadpool movie about the mercenary’s visage.

Deadpool 3 is written by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells from a previous draft by the Molyneux sisters (Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin). It is produced by Reynolds, Levy, and Kevin Feige, who previously assured fans that Deadpool 3 will officially be Marvel Studios’ first R-rated movie.

The film reunites lead star Ryan Reynolds with Free Guy and The Adam Project filmmaker Shawn Levy, who signed on to helm the long-awaited project.
