Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie Digital Release Date Revealed for US and UK

The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie digital release date has been revealed, and UK fans frustrated by a lack of at-home viewing options will not have to wait too long.

Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie Digital Release Date

Prime Video has the Five Nights at Freddy’s digital release date down as November 27, 2023, in the UK and November 28, 2023 for the US.

While in the US, fans could watch the video game adaptation on the Peacock streaming service, UK fans only got a theatrical release with a 15 certificate, preventing younger fans from watching it easily.

The catch is that this isn’t a Home Premiere rental release yet, but a UHD digital copy that will set you back $19.99/£19.99. For a physical copy, you’ll have to wait until at least January, and a rental release somewhere in-between.

The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie has been a phenomenal success, beating The Nun 2’s box office haul to become the year’s biggest horror movie (Meg 2: The Trench earned more worldwide, but it’s not explicitly horror). It’s broken all sorts of records during its run, and ensured a sequel is a surefire thing.

As it stands, it’s the 16th-best worldwide box office performance of 2023 and has hauled in over $270 million on a $20 million budget.

The film, directed by Emma Tammi, follows Mike (Josh Hutcherson), a troubled young man caring for his 10-year-old sister Abby (Piper Rubio), and haunted by the unsolved disappearance of his younger brother more than a decade before. Recently fired and desperate for work to keep custody of Abby, Mike agrees to be a night security guard at an abandoned theme restaurant: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.

But Mike soon discovers that nothing at Freddy’s is what it seems. With the aid of Vanessa, a local police officer (Elizabeth Lail), Mike’s nights at Freddy’s will lead him into unexplainable encounters with the supernatural and drag him into the black heart of an unspeakable nightmare.
