The Oscars host for the 2024 Academy Awards has been revealed, and they’re quite familiar with the iconic awards show.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will be the host of the 2024 Oscars. This is Kimmel’s fourth time hosting the show, as he did so in 2017, 2018, and in 2023. The announcement isn’t especially surprising given his history with the Academy Awards and his experience as the host of Jimmy Kimmel Live, which has been on the air since 2003.
The outlet notes that Kimmel isn’t the only one to return to the show, as Raj Kapoor, who has worked on the telecast of the Academy Awards for seven years, is showrunning the Oscars for the first time this year, while Molly McNearney is returning as an executive producer.
When will the 2024 Oscars take place?
The 96th Academy Awards ceremony is set to take place at the Dolby Theater on Sunday, March 10, 2024. It will be aired live on ABC. The nominees for the upcoming award show have not yet been revealed, though speculation and predictions have begun to be made following the conclusion of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.
