Spyder Dobrofsky‘s psychological horror film Down Below has added three new names to its burgeoning cast.
More Head Down Below
Deadline exclusively revealed that Doug Jones (Shape of Water, Hellboy), Bai Ling (The Crow, Crank: High Voltage), and Alexis Knapp (Pitch Perfect, Project X) have joined Eric Roberts, Hutch Dano and Christopher Livingston on the film.
Down Below tells the story of a young sheriff and a criminal suspect who find their lives intertwined when both become haunted by a sinister force on Christmas Eve. Roberts portrays an intelligent police psychologist, who’s having a tough time with his current patient, a cop recently suspended for an act of violence on a civilian.
The casting of Doug Jones would suggest he’s playing the aforementioned sinister force, given his track record playing creatures and monsters.
Dobrofsky is making his full-length theatrical debut as a director, having helmed various shorts over the years. He’s also written several films, including Tubi’s hit Teardrop, in which a nightmare begins when a teacher takes his students on a field trip to an obscure ghost town that may be haunted.
Down Below currently has no release window.
