Following its digital release, Sony Pictures has announced the Gran Turismo 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release date for its newest sports biographical drama.
This comes after nearly two months since the Archie Madekwe-led movie had made its theatrical debut. During its theatrical run, the film earned a worldwide gross of over $117 million at the box office against a reported budget of $60 million.
When is the release date for Gran Turismo 4K, Blu-ray & DVD?
Gran Turismo will be available to purchase on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD starting on November 7. The home video release will feature bonus features including deleted and extended scenes, along with five featurettes listed below:
- The Engine: Driving the Visuals
- The Pit Crew: Action and Stunts
- The Garage: The Amazing Automobiles
- The Plan: The True Story of Jann Mardenborough
- The Wheels: The Fast-Acting Cast
“Based on the unbelievable true story of a team of unlikely underdogs, the film follows a struggling working-class gamer, a failed former racecar driver, and an idealistic motorsport executive,” reads the synopsis. “Together, they risk it all to take on the most elite sport in the world. Gran Turismo is an inspiring, thrilling, and action-packed story that proves that nothing is impossible when you’re fueled from within.”
Gran Turismo was directed by Neill Blomkamp from a screenplay written by Jason Hall and Zach Baylin. The film also starred David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Darren Barnet, Djimon Hounsou, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Daniel Puig, Josha Stradowski, Sang Heon Lee, and German actor Thomas Kretschmann. It was produced by Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, Doug Belgrad, and Dana Brunetti, with game creator Kazunori Yamauchi, Hall and Baylin serving executive producers.
