Paddington in Peru is coming to United States theaters in January 2025.
Deadline reported that the third Paddington movie, Paddington in Peru, will hit theaters on January 17, 2025. Prior to that, the movie will be released in the United Kingdom approximately two months earlier on November 8, 2024.
The official Paddington Movie twitter account confirmed the news with a short video and tweet reading, “Adventure awaits! #PaddingtonInPeru is coming exclusively to theaters in 2025.”

Paddington in Peru is directed by Douglas Wilson, while the screenplay comes from Mark Burton, Jon Foster, and James Lamont. Paddington and Paddington 2 director Paul King contributed to the story for Paddington in Peru with Simon Farnaby and Mark Burton, while David Heyman and Rosie Alison serve as producers.
Ben Whishaw returns to voice Paddington Brown, while Hugh Bonneville, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, and Jim Broadbent return to reprise their roles from the first two movies. Imelda Staunton also returns to voice Aunt Lucy, while Emily Mortimer is replacing Sally Hawkins as Mrs. Brown. Olivia Colman and Antonio Banderas also star in the film.
West Side Story’s Rachel Zegler was also originally cast in Paddington in Peru; however, she was unable to film her scenes due to the ongoing Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AG-AFTRA) strike. She’s replaced by Carlo Tous, known for her performance on HBO’s 30 Coins.
The first Paddington was released in 2014, followed by Paddington 2 in 2017. Plot details for Paddington in Peru remain largely under wraps at this time; however, the film will see the lovable bear and the Brown family travel to Central America to find Paddington’s Aunt Lucy, who now lives in a Home for Retired Bears.
