When the release date for The Last Voyage of the Demeter Digital, Blu-ray & DVD?
The Last Voyage of the Demeter will be available to purchase on digital, Blu-ray and DVD, starting on October 17. Its home video release will feature more than 30 minutes of bonus content including deleted scenes and an alternate opening. During its theatrical run, the film was considered a box office bomb after it failed to meet its box office expectations. It only earned a global gross of over $20 million against a reported budget of around $45 million.
“The film tells the terrifying story of the merchant ship Demeter, which was chartered to carry private cargo—fifty unmarked wooden crates—from Carpathia to London,” reads the synopsis. “Strange events befall the doomed crew as they attempt to survive the ocean voyage, stalked each night by a merciless presence onboard the ship. When the Demeter finally arrives off the shores of England, it is a charred, derelict wreck. There is no trace of the crew.”
The Last Voyage of the Demeter was directed by André Øvredal from a screenplay written by Zak Olkewicz, Bragi Schut, and Stefan Ruzowitzky. It starred Corey Hawkins (In the Heights), Aisling Franciosi (The Nightingale), Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones), David Dastmalchian (the Ant-Man franchise), Jon Jon Briones (American Horror Story), Stefan Kapicic (Deadpool films), and Nikolai Nikolaeff (Stranger Things), with Javier Botet (It films, Mama) as Dracula.\
