A new Nyad poster is out for the upcoming Netflix sports biographical drama, showcasing Jodie Foster and Annette Bening.
The new poster for the film shows both Bening, who plays swimmer Diana Nyad, and Foster, who plays Nyad’s best friend, ahead of the film’s premiere on October 20, 2023.
Nyad is based on the novel Find A Way by author and long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad and is produced by Andrew Lazar and Teddy Schwarzman. The book tells the real-life story of Nyad as she tries to accomplish swimming from Cuba to Florida.

What do we know about Nyad?
Nyad will release in select theaters on October 20, 2023 and will be available on Netflix on November 3, 2023. The film is directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin from a script written by Julia Cox.
The film is executive produced by Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel, Michael Heimler, Vanessa Humphrey, Julia Cox, and D. Scott Lumpkin, with Andrew Lazar and Teddy Schwarzman producing.
“A remarkable true story of tenacity, friendship and the triumph of the human spirit, NYAD recounts a riveting chapter in the life of world-class athlete Diana Nyad,” reads the synopsis for the film. “Three decades after giving up marathon swimming in exchange for a prominent career as a sports journalist, at the age of 60, Diana (four-time Academy Award nominee Annette Bening) becomes obsessed with completing an epic swim that always eluded her: the 110 mile trek from Cuba to Florida, often referred to as the “Mount Everest” of swims. Determined to become the first person to finish the swim without a shark cage, Diana goes on a thrilling, four-year journey with her best friend and coach Bonnie Stoll (two-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster) and a dedicated sailing team.”
