Joe Lynch’s Lovecraft adaptation Suitable Flesh is drawing nearer to a release, but in the meantime, you can whet your appetite with a taste of exactly what Suitable Flesh is.
It shows star Heather Graham lapping it up in the deliciously dark comedy horror adapted from H.P. Lovecraft’s The Thing on the Doorstep. It seeks to evoke the spirit of Stuart Gordon classics such as From Beyond and Re-Animator.

sees Psychiatrist Elizabeth Derby become obsessed with helping a young patient suffering from extreme personality disorder. But it leads her into dark occult danger as she tries to escape a horrific fate.
Director Joe Lynch has previously helmed L.A.R.P. horror comedy Knights of Badassdom starring Peter Dinklage and Summer Glau. He also made the violent workplace satire Mayhem, starring Steven Yeun and Samara Weaving.
The movie’s cast includes Heather Graham (Boogie Nights), Judah Lewis (The Babysitter), Bruce Davison (Insidious: The Last Key), Johnathon Schaech (The Night Clerk), and Barbara Crampton (You’re Next).
Suitable Flesh will be in theaters and VOD on October 27, 2023 with a streaming debut on Shudder set for January 2024.
