I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer Gets Belated Blu-Ray Release

It may not be the most desirable Blu-Ray release by some stretch, but the third entry in the Know What You Did Last Summer franchise will be getting a new physical release soon.

The much-maligned I’ll Always Know What You Did Next Summer will head to Blu-Ray next month. The movie is often seen as one of the worst horror sequels around in a franchise that’s not exactly of the highest quality as it is.

Still, with I Know What You Did Last Summer getting a 4K release last year for its 25th anniversary, and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer about to join it, it would be a bit odd not to have the third entry join them with a spangly new version as well. Even if it’s just a standard Blu-Ray.

I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer Blu-Ray Release Date

Dawn of the Discs has announced its Blu-Ray transfer of I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer will arrive on September 29, 2023. By no coincidence, this is the same day as the 4K release of the second film.

I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer came several years after the first two films and the direct-to-video movie had no Kevin Williamson or Jennifer Love-Hewitt involved. It was directed by Sylvian White who would go on to make the Slender Man film.

It essentially plays out the same story as the original with diminished returns on the tale of young friends covering up an accidental death before being stalked and killed a year later.

It may not be considered the canon third entry for long though as there are reports the original surviving cast could be returning in a new I Know What You Did Last Summer.
