How to Train Your Dragon Live-Action Movie Delayed Due to Actors Strike

The How to Train Your Dragon live-action remake movie has been delayed due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

This live-action remake of Dreamworks’s 2010 animated movie was set to start production in Titanic Studios in Belfast this month. The release date is currently set for March 14, 2025. However, given that the cast is comprised mainly of SAG-AFTRA actors who are unable to work under the strike, they cannot act in the film until a contract is in place.

How to Train Your Dragon is produced by Marc Platt Productions and distributed by Universal Pictures. Dean DeBlois, the writer and director for all three movies in the animated trilogy, will also be the writer and director of this movie.
