The hit 2003 comedy film School of Rock is turning 20 this year, and to celebrate, a School of Rock 20th anniversary Blu-ray SteelBook is in the works.
When does the School of Rock Blu-ray SteelBook come out?
According to Paramount, the School of Rock Blu-ray SteelBook release date is set for September 26, 2023, and will include a digital copy of the film as well as the Blu-ray. Also included on the release will be over an hour’s worth of special features, which include commentary from Richard Linklater and Jack Black, videos, and more.

Originally released in October 2003, School of Rock comes from director Richard Linklater (Boyhood, Dazed and Confused) and writer Mike White (The White Lotus). The film starred Jack Black, Joan Cusack, Sarah Silverman, Amy Sedaris, Mike White, and a handful of child actors including Miranda Cosgrove.
At the time of its release, the film became a hit, becoming the #1 film in the country for two weeks straight. Until 2015’s Pitch Perfect 2, the movie was also the highest-grossing music-themed comedy of all time.
