A Cinderella 4K restoration is coming to Disney+.
The 1950 animated movie was a huge critical and commercial success. It told the story of Cinderella, a young woman enslaved by her evil stepmother and two stepsisters. When Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother shows up, she gives her the chance to attend the royal ball in a stunning dress where she meets Prince Charming.
What is the Cinderella 4K release date?
The animated classic releases on Disney+ on August 25, 2023.
Veteran Disney animator Eric Goldberg said, “Viewers watching this restoration will see more clarity, but they will also see more subtlety. They’ll see differences in color from shot to shot, and discover how one color works with another. [Michael Giaimo] and I knew what the film was supposed to look like, and it took a lot just getting back to Cinderella having dusty blonde hair and a silver dress. I’m proud that the Studio felt it was important to get this restoration right, and trusted a handful of us to do that.”
